Jodi Amendola, CEO

Jodi Amendola is the founder and CEO of Amendola Communications and is best known as a healthcare PR and marketing leader, change maker, strategist, and storyteller. She has more than 30 years of experience helping healthcare, health tech and life science organizations shape their narratives, generate market/brand awareness and thought leadership, accelerate sales, and strategically position themselves for acquisition, initial public offering and organic growth.

Under her direction, Amendola delivers integrated, holistic programs to clients in a specialized niche through a deep understanding of their unique needs and how to help them rise above the noise in a crowded marketplace. Today, the firm is one of the top health tech agencies, with a team of 25 industry veterans known as the “A-Team” and over 50 clients across the United States.

A thought leader on LinkedIn, a Forbes Agency Council contributor, and a guest on numerous marketing and PR podcasts, Jodi provides expertise and guidance to the industry on how to drive PR and marketing value by leveraging best practices and trends. A tireless networker, she has strong relationships with industry influencers, analysts and the media and leverages them for clients, colleagues and industry stakeholders. Jodi executes high-impact business-to-business public relations and marketing communications strategies for companies of all sizes and stages. She has led campaigns for industry giants and start-ups, including Cisco, Intel, TriZetto, Allscripts, Medicity, Eclipsys, Health Catalyst, iSirona (now Nant Health), Health 2.0, multiple McKesson business units and many others.

 Over the years, Jodi and Amendola Communications have earned numerous awards and recognition, including the “Best PR Agency” award for several years running from PR SourceCode. Amendola was named a top 5 Best Tech Agency in the U.S. by editors, reporters and freelancers; won MarCom Gold Awards for client work; and received an honorable mention in the Overall Healthcare Agency category by Ragan & PR Daily’s ACE Awards. She has served as a speaker and panelist at a variety of healthcare and PR/marketing conferences, and has judged industry award programs. Prior to co-founding Amendola Communications in 2003, Jodi worked 14 years at a national PR and marketing firm specializing in healthcare and technology.

Jodi currently serves on the board of Chilmark Research, a global research and advisory firm that is solely focused on the market for healthcare IT solutions. Jodi served on the board of Help In Healing Home Foundation, an Arizona nonprofit offering affordable accommodations to recovering patients and caregivers. She served on the Board of X2 Health Network, a not-for-profit executive women’s health network. Other philanthropic and community engagements included a six-year term with her daughter providing philanthropic and fundraising support or National Charity League and serving on the Board of Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, as well as numerous other volunteer and charitable activities.

Jodi is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, as well as a member of the Arizona Chapter of HIMSS, having served as chair of the Arizona HIMSS Marketing & Communications Committee.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in Mass Communications from Boston University.

Ted Amendola, President/COO

Ted Amendola brings more than 30 years of business, computer and educational experience to Amendola Communications. With a diverse background in various leadership positions in education, architecture and computer technology, Ted oversees the agency's operations.

Prior to co-founding Amendola Communications, Ted served as business development director and technical advisor for the western division of a national marketing communications firm. He played a key role in the agency's western expansion and business development in healthcare and technology markets.

Tara Stultz, Chief Strategy Officer

Tara Stultz has served in various roles at Amendola for 4 years and oversees and directs our PR activities. She is a PR, marketing and content leader with more than 20 years of strategic healthcare communications experience. She has worked closely with healthcare IT, managed care, medical device and pharmaceutical companies; major health systems such as Cleveland Clinic and Stanford Health; medical societies; and other healthcare clients to execute successful and engaging marketing, PR/media relations and content marketing initiatives. With deep expertise in a wide-ranging number of therapeutic areas, her writing acumen includes everything from highly clinical physician-bylined articles to compelling ad copy to messaging platforms.

Prior to working in the agency world, Tara served as the executive editorial director of the Healthcare Group at Advanstar Communications, where she led the editorial teams

of several high-profile national healthcare media outlets such as Managed Healthcare Executive, Medical Economics, Formulary, Drug Topics, and others. Under Tara's leadership, these titles consistently earned top readership rankings and won numerous national awards.

Advanstar and the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association recognized Tara for her leadership with the prestigious Rising Star award. Her writing has earned the American Business Press top honor, the Neal Award, as well as dozens of other national and regional editorial awards. Tara started as a newspaper reporter and has served as a marketing professional for a physician's practice. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Marcia Rhodes, Vice President

Marcia Rhodes is an award-winning PR and marketing communications expert with three decades of experience in media relations, crisis PR, content marketing and executive communications. Marcia's experience includes 11 years with Accenture – five years as Marketing Manager for Andersen Consulting in Seattle, followed by six years as Senior Marketing Communications Manager for Accenture's Government and Education practice. She also served as Vice President of Marketing for Six Sigma Academy, a global operational excellence training and consulting firm.

Marcia began her public relations career with a PR agency in Seattle in the early 90's and has worked in the field ever since. Prior to joining Amendola in 2013, Marcia served as Public Relations Manager for WorldatWork, a global nonprofit human resources association.

As part of Amendola's leadership team, Marcia oversees HR and operations in addition to managing accounts and conducting media training. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun-Times, San Jose Mercury News, Columbus Dispatch, The Houston Chronicle, The Arizona Republic, Phoenix Business Journal and several trade publications. Marcia earned a M.A. in International Communications from the University of Washington and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of the Philippines. She has been honored by the League of American Communications Professionals (for web site development and a client testimonial video) and by the International Association of Business Communicators (for newsletter writing).

Philip Anast, General Manager

Philip is a senior leader with an impressive track record at a myraid of small and large technology and healthcare-focused PR agencies. He has built, managed and executed PR programs since 1995. Using the power of storytelling and influencer relations, he has launched new companies, brands and products, resulting in market penetration, market share growth and corporate acquisition for such clients as HP, Language Analysis Systems, Motorola and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has led several healthcare IT programs for companies such as Kaufman Hall, Vocera (VCRA), Lightbeam Health and others.

Philip leads the charge at Amendola Communications, overseeing the agency's team and client relations with a focus on operational excellence and results.

Prior to joining Amendola, Philip worked at Chicago-based PR firm Tech Image, serving in various roles over his 15-year tenure, including managing client programs, providing strategic counsel, pitching new business, growing client relationships, teaching best practices and managing finances. During that time, he served several clients targeting the healthcare/HIT sector, including NEC Display Solutions, IBS (now Iptor Supply Chain Systems) and Cleo. Philip also has worked in the technology practices of Hill and Knowlton and Porter Novelli. He began his PR career at U.S. Robotics and 3Com. Philip holds bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from Northwestern University.

Barb Nieser, Human Resource and Operations Director

With more than 27 years in human resource management, Barb serves as Amendola’s Human Resources & Operations Director and is responsible for the administration of policies, employee benefits and the recruitment of top talent. She is a member of the management team and oversees operations, putting efficient workflows in place to maximize the A-Team’s productivity and performance.

Barb believes effective and professional talent management is a key factor in ensuring the achievement of a company’s goals. Her career in Human Resources has been varied, including experience in the healthcare industry, publishing/digital media and conference marketing.

Prior to joining Amendola, Barb served for nearly 10 years as HR Manager at Advanstar Communications, a leading worldwide media company. During her tenure, Barb managed a major staffing transition from New Jersey to Ohio. The transition included recruiting and hiring numerous employees and their successful onboarding into the company. She also directed teambuilding events by utilizing her skills in event planning and marketing. Barb also developed employee educational materials to ensure successful employee assimilation.

Barb holds a PHR certification from the Society for Human Resource Management and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Myers University.

Michelle Noteboom, Senior Account and Content Director

As a well-known "celebrity" in the HIT industry, Michelle leverages her industry acumen, superior writing and strategic input to help high profile accounts reach their goals. Prior to joining Amendola Michelle spent seven years as an independent contributor for HIStalk and HIStalk Practice writing under the name of "Inga" and leading the online publication's explosive growth in sponsorship support.

She was also a freelance writer and marketing communications specialist for various healthcare IT publications and vendors, including Healthcare IT News, HL7 Standards, The Health Care Blog, healthfinch, and HCS. Previously Noteboom spent 22 years in healthcare IT sales and sales management with Misys Healthcare Systems. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Texas State University.

Yancey Casey, Senior Account Director

Yancey brings more than 20 years of public relations experience to the A-Team and along with it a reputation for delivering multi-channel communications programs for leading companies in healthcare, technology, retail, automotive and consumer packaged goods.

Before his stint as a freelance consultant, Yancey was Director of Public Relations for GS&F, a full-service integrated marketing agency, where he oversaw the earned and owned media strategies for a roster of 15+ clients spanning multiple industries. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Public Relations for Revive, where he led client relationships and project management for a portfolio of healthcare clients, including health technology, healthcare investors, local and regional hospitals/health systems, and health services.

Yancey has held senior-level public relations and communications positions with McKesson Technology Solutions (now Change Healthcare), Cox Automotive and The Home Depot along with global agencies Edelman and Golin, shaping the narratives for these companies and their clients in authentic and measurable ways.

Yancey earned a degree in communications/public relations from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University.

Janet Mordecai, Senior Account Director

Janet Mordecai brings more than 20 years of marketing, communications, and public relations experience to her role as Senior Account Director at Amendola. She has a track record of repeated success in generating revenue, growing market share, and driving global brand equity in previous roles.

Prior to joining Amendola, she held senior-level MarCom and product marketing positions for high-performing healthcare organizations, including Blue Shield of California and Medical Security Card Company dba/ScriptSave, Roche, Signify Health and Matrix Medical Network. Janet’s portfolio is vast, having provided advanced healthcare innovation consulting through her independent business.

During her work career, she has proven herself to be a sought-after expert on brand equity for high-performing marketing organizations, managed care plans, pharmacies, PBMs, and technology platforms. She knows the ins and outs of creating campaigns, managing content, and significantly improving marketing operations for healthcare organizations of all sizes.

Janet is a professional healthcare writer, published author, and winner of the Julia Child International Cookbook Award for Positive Cooking: Cooking for people with HIV. She is heavily involved in Southern Arizona Justice for Veterans (SAJV) where she is on the board of directors.

She earned her degree in social work from the University of California Berkeley.

Katlyn Nesvold, Senior Account Director

Katlyn Nesvold is a seasoned healthcare public relations and social media strategist. Most recently, Katlyn led public relations, social media and customer relations for Spok, where she built and maintained relationships with key health IT media, while growing the organization's social media traffic by more than 200 percent. During her time with the company, she also worked closely with customers to tell their success stories through earned media placements, case studies, webinars, presentations, testimonials and videos.

Prior to Spok, Katlyn spent nearly seven years leading PR and digital at a healthcare company where she successfully helped position the organization as an industry leader by telling compelling service-based stories through earned media, along with launching many initiatives for the brand including activating social media influencers, optimizing the website and overseeing video production.

Katlyn started her career at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic, where her passion for healthcare began while working in public affairs to secure earned media coverage for the health system. She also has experience working at Minneapolis-based PR firms serving both B2C and B2B clients. A natural storyteller, Katlyn believes business to business marketing is really business to human marketing and her professional strategy follows suit. A strategist and an executor, she loves to dig into analytics to infuse metric-based decisions into her plans.

She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, a founding member of Together Digital and volunteers her public relations expertise to many causes near and dear to her heart in the special needs and pet rescue communities. She has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in marketing.

Mardi Larson, Senior Account Director

Mardi Larson is a Sabre award-winning strategic communications/PR professional with B2B and B2C experience. Across her more than 25-year career, she has worked for entrepreneurial start-up companies and mature brands helping them secure mass awareness and gain much-deserved recognition.

As a brand journalist, corporate storyteller and a PESO expert, she helps clients create and maximize strategic content across Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned channels. “Earned” results are her specialty – whether with media, social media, industry analysts or bloggers/vloggers. Mardi started her career in High Performance Computing at Cray, where she helped the company break into new industries including automotive, aerospace, chemical, pharmaceutical and biomedical. She has worked on tech brands including Fujitsu, Tech Data, Sun Microsystems, Conservis and eVisit.

Her consumer brand work includes Sperry Top-Sider, Keds, PetSmart and Payless ShoeSource, where her successful PR idea to create a “high-low” fashion story with Payless shoes on the runway at New York Fashion Week ignited the Payless Designer Collections. Mardi has also worked with celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Martha Stewart, Shaquille O’Neal, Stacy London, the Barry Goldwater Family, and Christian Siriano, as well as as futurists, health/wellness gurus, eco-friendly/sustainable activists, industry analysts and disruptors.

Mardi has a Journalism degree from UW-Eau Claire and most recently served as Content Marketing Director, heading PR, AR and Corporate Communications for eVisit, where she led the AR effort that secured eVisit the Solo Leader position in the Forrester Wave for Digital Health and Gartner’s Market Guide for Virtual Care Solutions.

Maria Meredith, Senior Account and Content Director

Maria Meredith brings more than 25 years of healthcare marketing experience to Amendola with a track record for delivering effective integrated programs for healthcare technology companies that serve hospitals, health systems, physician groups and payers. Her key skills include content strategy and development, account-based marketing, and demand generation; messaging and sales enablement, digital advertising and project management.

Most recently, Maria served as Director of Marketing and Communications for R1 RCM, focused on content strategy, writing and marketing programs for their patient experience solutions.

She joined R1 through its acquisition of SCI Solutions, where she led marketing communications, PR and demand generation.

Before joining SCI, Maria spent many years as a freelance marketing consultant, working with a range of healthcare companies, such as SCI, Edifecs, Array Health (acquired by Get Insured), CitiusTech and Zipnosis. Prior to that, she was a managing partner for the Menon Group, an alliance partner of GE Healthcare that provided custom clinical and data exchange solutions.

Maria earned her degree in journalism/communications from University of Oregon.

Michelle Smith, Senior Social Media Account Director

Michelle brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations and sales to Amendola, with a background that spans multiple industries. She began her career in communications at Honeywell's European Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. In her role, she planned and executed customer meetings, sales team retreats, and designed and implemented marketing and advertising campaigns for new product introductions. She has more than a decade of

experience in fundraising, event planning and volunteer coordination with numerous nonprofit organizations in the Scottsdale area. Prior to joining Amendola, Michelle served as a marketing and communications manager for Confinity Management, a high-tech consulting company.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arizona State University.

Jim Sweeney, Senior Account and Content Director

Jim Sweeney brings more than 35 years of experience in public relations and journalism to his role as Senior Account and Content Director at Amendola. As someone who has worked in both industries, Jim understands the demands and expectations of clients, making him a dynamic and valuable team member.

He spent 25 years as a reporter and editor for daily newspapers, including 17 years at the Cleveland Plain Dealer. In addition to news and features, he also reviewed books and wrote essays and columns.

Notable career accomplishments include creating the first magazine designed specifically for the iPad during his time at a startup. He then made his way to Advanstar where he led a team of 14 writers for various medical magazines, then served as editor of Medical Economics. Prior to Amendola, he created content and managed PR programs at The Adcom Group for a variety of clients, including Cleveland Clinic, Lubrizol Life Sciences, Sherwin-Williams, and Kauffman Foundation.

Jim earned his degree in English from Miami University. He is based in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kim Mohr, Account Director

Kim Mohr brings over 20 years of communications experience to her role as Account Director. Most recently, she was senior manager of PR for EHR vendor NextGen Healthcare. Kim started her career as a journalist, serving as an editor and team leader for the Orange County (Calif.) Register, where she oversaw a team of 19 and worked on the Pulitzer-nominated “Toxic Treats” series. After more than a decade in newspapers, Kim made the transition to marketing and public relations and quickly found success. Kim has directed impactful public relations efforts for a wide array of organizations across multiple industries including health tech, biotech, real estate and fitness, as well as the public sector. She has achieved media coverage for clients both locally and on a national scale, including the L.A. Times, New York Times, Becker’s and Modern Healthcare.

Kim drives impact for the companies she serves through orchestrated thought leadership campaigns that raise the profile of key executives and establish the organization as an authority in their space. Among Kim’s achievements are a successful national satellite media tour with a celebrity influencer that garnered dozens of broadcast news hits for NextGen Healthcare; a U.S. News & World Report webinar that drew a record audience for her organization; and an earned speaking spot at HIMSS.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication & Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from California State University, Fresno.

Jodi Perkins, Account Director

Jodi Perkins is a career agency PR veteran who has over 25 years of both B2B and B2C experience partnering with brands of varying sizes across diverse industries within the healthcare sector. Her expertise spans health tech, biotech, life sciences, medical device, telehealth, AI and wellness and extends to CPG, HR tech, construction, manufacturing and more. Jodi brings a fierce curiosity and hard work ethic to the team, tapping into her varied skillset in leading media strategy, program execution and driving earned media relations

programs for her clients. A media relations pro, Jodi has secured placements in top-tier media such as Forbes, The Wall Street Journal and Inc. as well as on broadcast networks and a wide variety of trade publications across these industries.

Complementing her wealth of experience, Jodi holds a degree in Communications/Public Relations from the University of Illinois, Champaign, Urbana.

Grace Vinton, Account Director and Media Specialist

Grace Vinton is a dynamic communications professional with a passion for healthcare and health IT. She has worked with over 20 clients in a career that spans more than ten years across the healthcare ecosphere in the areas of HIT, big data, predictive analytics, AI/augmented reality, telehealth, health information exchange, pharma, life sciences, predictive modeling and radiology.

A media relations pro, Grace has secured media placements in top tier media such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Forbes magazine. She has also secured client interviews on all the major broadcast networks and a wide variety of healthcare and technology trade publications. Grace is fluent in social media and viral marketing platforms and has a top 1% most viewed LinkedIn profile with numerous healthcare industry heavy hitters as followers of her regular healthcare technology industry news and commentary.

Grace started her career as an Assistant Marketing Coordinator at Sodexo International. In this role she supported the on-site campus team in the process of developing and implementing "healthy eating" promotions. She left to join Rand Media Company as Head of Media Relations where she promoted the publishing company and their educational books through PR and a variety of content marketing platforms. Prior to joining Amendola, Grace was a PR consultant to several health technology companies worldwide.

Grace is also a vivacious guest host for the HIT Like a Girl Podcast Show "HITeaWithGrace": amplifying the voices of women executives, informaticists, and patient advocates making a difference in the healthcare, pharma, and life sciences technology industry. Grace was the recipient of the 2022 Medigy Healthcare Marketer of the Year Award (Agency).

Grace has a Master of Arts degree in Communication & Leadership and Bachelor's degrees in both Government and Communications. She has also completed educational development programs at Georgetown and Oxford Universities.

Grant Evans, Senior Content Director

Grant Evans brings more than 30 years of diversified technology content marketing, public relations, and editorial management to his role at Amendola Communications. He is a results-focused brand journalist and content marketing professional with broad experience developing, executing, and measuring strategic marketing and corporate communications programs for companies in the healthcare IT, enterprise software/services, life sciences, and venture capital/private equity markets.
Most recently, he served as senior editor of content operations and marketing communications with Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson Health Solutions), where he developed news releases, paid and organic social media, advertising copy, white papers, case studies, static and interactive web content, bylined articles, podcasts, video scripts, enterprise-wide research programs, and the corporate blog in support of the company’s solutions for providers and payers.

Before joining McKesson, he served for more than a decade as vice president of Garfield Group Public Relations, a technology-focused communications agency where he led editorial/content development services, serving as chief strategist and copywriter of contributed articles, white papers, newsletters, news releases, media pitches, corporate blogs, web copy, awards submissions, and annual reports. He has held senior marketing and media/analyst relations roles with Unisys Corp. and AT&T Network Systems.
He began his career as a trade journalist, first as a news editor covering the IBM S/3X and RS6000 markets for MIDRANGE Systems, and then as managing editor for HP Professional, the leading monthly serving the Hewlett Packard commercial computing market.
Grant earned his bachelor’s degree in English, with a minor in Journalism, from Hartwick College. In his spare time, he is an avid SCUBA diver and wreck explorer.

Brandon Glenn, Senior Content Director

Brandon Glenn is a veteran journalist and marketing and communications professional, with experience in content marketing, social media, media relations and news writing. Brandon writes on a variety of healthcare/healthcare IT topics and is well versed in the industry from payer and provider perspectives. He gained a deep knowledge of the health IT industry while working as a reporter and editor for MedCity News, which covers the business of innovation in healthcare, and as a senior editor with Medical Economics, a publication that focuses on issues of importance to primary care physicians.

In these positions, he also wrote extensively about the hospitals, pharmaceuticals and medical devices industries. Additionally, he gained experience in marketing and communications serving in a corporate communications role for a publicly traded company.

Brandon began his journalism career as a reporter with Crain's Cleveland Business and, later, Crain's Chicago Business. Earlier, he was an analyst with consulting firm Accenture. Brandon earned a master's in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Purdue University.

Chris Nerney, Senior Content Director

Chris is a veteran healthcare and technology writer with more than 10 years of experience in content marketing following two decades in news and technology journalism. He has written healthcare and technology content for HIMSS, IBM, IDG, Unisys, DXC, Abbott, and many other clients as a freelancer, specializing in thought-leadership articles, white papers, blog posts, website copy, and pre- and post-conference material. He also is a podcast producer, writer, and cohost.

Chris served as executive editor at internet.com, overseeing websites such as Datamation, eSecurityPlanet, Intranet Journal, and several others.

He covered Internet startups and venture capital for internet.com in the late ‘90s, producing a weekly and a monthly newsletter. He began his technology writing career at Network World, launching the popular ‘Net Buzz column. He migrated to technology from news journalism, working as a news editor and entertainment section editor at the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner. Chris began his newspaper career in Massachusetts and was named the 1995 Editorial Writer of the Year by the New England Press Association.

He has a B.S. in marketing and communications from Babson College. Chris also did standup comedy in the Boston area for five years, for reasons that elude him.

Morgan Lewis, Senior Content Director

Morgan Lewis is an award-winning business and healthcare writer that brings 20 years of journalism and PR writing experience, focused almost exclusively on business and healthcare. Most recently, Lewis was a writer at MERGE Atlanta (formerly Dodge Communications), where he wrote thought leadership articles, white papers, case studies, blog posts, website copy and other pieces of PR and marketing content for dozens of healthcare and healthcare IT clients over four years.

Prior to that, he was an independent writer and editor focused on healthcare

and health IT, creating content for clients that appear in national publications and websites. Lewis started his writing career at a daily newspaper and then business publications in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area, where he won eight feature writing awards from Cleveland regional and state journalism organizations. Lewis then joined Medical Economics magazine, the leading business resource for primary care physicians, where he won three writing awards from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE), including two Gold Awards. He earned a bachelor's degree in English-Journalism from Miami University of Ohio.

Maddie Noteboom, Account Manager

Maddie began her career at Amendola as an intern where she learned the ins-and-outs of Amendola’s strategic approach to PR and marketing communication. During that time, she expanded her understanding of the complexities of healthcare and health IT, sharpened her writing and research skills and polished her design skills.

Since joining the A-team fulltime, Maddie has served as an account coordinator assisting clients with various PR, communication and marketing needs, including social media management, industry research and press release writing. Maddie also uses her creative skills to deliver customized graphic design collateral for clients.

Prior to joining Amendola, she worked at a boutique communications agency in Austin, Texas where she first discovered her passion working in PR. She gained insights into brand management, B2C marketing, event planning for lifestyle brands, and other aspects of PR. While in college, Maddie combined her passion for dance and strategic communications to execute a successful strategic social media, marketing and communications plan for an Austin dance studio. By leveraging her skills, she helped the studio grow its brand awareness regionally and expand the business.

Maddie holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and a minor in Business from The University of Texas at Austin.

Margaret Kelly, Research and Communications Manager

Margaret Kelly is an accomplished administrator with more than 30 years of experience in marketing and public relations. Her industry experience spans the healthcare, building and financial service industries. Margaret is a behind-the-scenes expert instrumental in supporting account teams with day-to-day operations.  She focuses on processing press releases, managing social media, and researching speaking and editorial opportunities for clients.

As a social media manager, Margaret is responsible for writing and distributing posts, engaging followers and linking to relevant industry leaders; as a result an EHR company gained 15% new followers and a remote patient monitoring client gained 30% new Twitter followers in only eight months. Additionally, a leading senior adaptive computer technology company added social media influence by 44% on Twitter, 67%

on Facebook and 57% on LinkedIn in just 14 months. A campaign for the client's webinar caused such an increase in registration the company had to update its webinar platform to accommodate the extra attendees.

Before joining Amendola Communications, Margaret served as the public relations agency and graphic artist liaison for a local company. In that role, she scheduled all media interviews for the company CEO, and managed all marketing placements, eNewsletters, website updates and marketing collateral materials.

Margaret is a recipient of the Home Builder Association's coveted MAME (Major Achievements in Merchandising Excellence) Award for Best Website. She has lectured at the Home Builder's Association of Central Arizona on website development and at ASU's Del Web School of Construction on marketing.

Rachel Moritzkat, Account Coordinator

Rachel is a healthcare marketing communications professional with experience in: web content, social media, and client management.

Rachel has actual hands-on healthcare experience. Most recently, she worked as a patient coordinator for Ivy Rehab in Neptune, NJ. She also worked as a physician coordinator at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and later as a laboratory assistant at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa.

Rachel earned a graduate assistantship at Marywood University’s web development office, where she learned to build web pages, create front end design, and write online content for her school.

She served as vice president of Marywood University’s Digital Media Club while pursuing her graduate degree. Post graduation, she worked in the marketing department at Commonwealth Health, a hospital network in Pennsylvania where she served as the main website liaison for over six hospitals. Rachel worked at Princeton University as a social media coordinator, and Net Driven, a digital marketing agency where she wrote online content and interacted with clients.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in digital media and broadcasting and a master’s degree in healthcare communications from Marywood University in Scranton, Pa. She graduated magna cum laude and completed a thesis on the effectiveness of patient portals.
