Jodi Amendola, CEO

Jodi Amendola is a seasoned public relations and marketing communications expert with nearly two decades of experience in counseling, implementing and overseeing strategic marketing and public relations programs for a diversified healthcare, technology, real estate and professional services client base.

Jodi is a hands-on leader providing strategic direction and ongoing involvement in all phases of client public relations and marketing programs. She has placed client stories in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and top tier trade journals in various market niches. She has led campaigns for industry giants and start-up companies, including Cisco, Intel, TriZetto, Carefx, MEDSEEK, Saxa (formerly Shea Commercial), World Communications Center, AXIA Health (now Healthways), Dermacare Laser & Skincare Clinics, and Mphasis Healthcare Solutions.

Prior to co-founding her own agency, Jodi served 14 years at a national public relations and marketing firm specializing in healthcare and technology. In 1997, she founded the company's West Coast office and managed the entire West Coast operation, including overseeing accounts, staff and business development activities. She successfully ensured that large national and local companies achieved or exceed their business objectives by improving their competitive position in the marketplace.

Previously, Jodi held positions at the National Association of Printer & Lithographers; the American Cancer Society; Morgan Orchid Rhodes, an entertainment and corporate PR firm; the Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC) and Vector Marketing Corporation. She has won several awards for her outstanding public relations and marketing achievements.

Jodi holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Boston University.

Jodi is a founding member of X2 Health Network (X2HN), a not-for-profit exclusive executive women's health network that shares ideas, competencies and resources to improve healthcare leadership, policy and delivery, as well as to encourage professional and personal growth.

She is actively involved with a variety of non-profit organizations. She served on the Board of Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF) and currently volunteers with the Phoenix chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the American Cancer Society. A former Board Trustee of the Community Resource Council of Bergen County (CRC), Jodi was solely responsible for the Bergen County Calendar Project, the organization's second largest fundraising activity. Jodi is also a past member of the CRC's public relations and EXPO committees, as well as a past member of the public relations committee of the New Jersey chapter of D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). She also serves as a student recruiter for the Boston University admissions program. Jodi is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.

Ted Amendola, President/COO

Ted Amendola brings more than 30 years of business, computer and educational experience to Amendola Communications. With a diverse background in various leadership positions in education, architecture and computer technology, Ted oversees all agency operations.

Prior to co-founding Amendola Communications, Ted served as business development director and technical advisor for the western division of a national marketing communications firm. He played a key role in the agency's western expansion and business development in healthcare and technology markets.

Ted has earned a B.S. and two master's degrees in computer applications and mathematics.

An active member of various non-profit associations, Ted served as Team Captain, March of Dimes Walk for Healthier Babies, was a Member of the Community Resource Council Volunteer Expo Committee and served as mentor for teenage peer counseling groups. Ted has served as Little League coach in various community sports as well as owning and operating tennis, computer and basketball camps for youngsters.

Jan Shulman, EXECUTIVE Vice President

Jan Shulman is a senior public relations and marketing communications professional with more than 20 years of experience covering all aspects of media relations, strategic counsel, marketing communications, crisis prevention and management and community relations.

She worked at several agencies that specialize in helping healthcare, financial services, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, real estate, professional services and high tech industries. Jan has provided strategic direction and project implementation, delivering bottom-line results for numerous clients including: Kimberly-Clark Professional Healthcare, Motorola, Sears, Amersham, Keller Williams Southwest Realty, HomeStore and MIICRO.

On the corporate side, Jan served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Alliance Medical Corporation and as the Director of Public Affairs at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. She also held positions at Safety-Kleen Corporation, The American Hospital Association and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. She has written numerous articles and has taught classes in media relations. In addition, she won the Baltimore Chapter of the American Heart Association's Communicator of the Year award.

Jan holds a B.A. in Marketing Communications from Columbia College in Chicago, IL.

Kate Donlon, Vice President

Kate Donlon, a senior marketing and public relations professional, has over 14 years of experience in the healthcare and technology industries. She started at Amendola Communications in 2005 as an account executive, was promoted to marketing director and currently serves as vice present. Her expertise lies in strategic partner relationships and integrated communications programs in branding, online and viral marketing, website design and development, online/print advertising, public relations and corporate communications. Kate has proven success in product launches, ensuring innovative marketing and public relations campaigns that surpass company expectations.

Kate's spectrum of experience ranges from Fortune 500 to start-ups, across multiple industries. She has guided the marketing, branding and website efforts of Intel's Healthcare Division, HealthTrio, Surveillance Data Inc., InteGreat, MedPlexus, QCSI, RxEOB, and many others.

Additionally, Kate has a broad background in international marketing and management, with years of business travel throughout Asia-Pacific and Europe.

Kate obtained her MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Michigan State University.

Angela Jenkins, Senior Healthcare Executive

Angela Jenkins is a seasoned public relations professional with a proven track record in healthcare, technology and general fields, with grounding in journalism, agency and corporate environments.

The last 12 years Angela focused exclusively on promoting healthcare information technologies at McKesson (then HBOC), Per-Se Technologies, Misys Healthcare Systems, and Thomson Healthcare (Micromedex). Her domain knowledge of clinical systems includes: Evidence-based clinical decision support, workflow and mobile integration, acute computer-based patient record, ambulatory electronic medical record, homecare, laboratory, pharmacy, radiology/PACS, staff and patient scheduling/resource management perioperative, revenue cycle management, and e-health/EDI.

Angela earned a B.A. in journalism from Auburn University in Alabama. She is a member of Colorado Healthcare Communicators and is a recipient of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold and Silver Flame Awards.
